This year I'm excited to announce that I'm an Artist in Residence for a non-profit organization that is very near and dear to my heart, Art is Moving. They organize an annual event called Art Break Day- a daylong celebration that encourages people to sit down, take a short break from their busy lives, and make art for free.

Tabled booths are set up in highly trafficked locations in various cities and passer-byers are provided with art supplies. The annual event occurs simultaneously in all participating cities on the first Friday of September. This year’s Art Break Day will take place on September 6, 2013 and will be celebrated in 17 locations, including San Francisco. This is where I will be.

Please come say hi and take an art break with me and Lauren Odell Usher (one of the founders of Art is Moving) at Justin Herman Plaza in front of the Ferry Building. See you there!
